Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. It was her first year of school at the time her father separated from the family. In the age of fourteen, Brink became pregnant and was forced to drop out of high school. In order to provide for her family, she moved in with her son Davion following the birth of her son. Brink began her first band Pulse that was located within Albany New York. The band mostly performed local gigs with Coal Chamber, Sevendust and different bands. The band split later. Following the move to Los Angeles from California at the age of 25, Brink moved there in 2002. Brink sang and worked at bars and coffee shops while she looked for the perfect band. A few years later, she was introduced to now-band members Chris Howorth at an audition. Howorth was hesitant to let her audition because she was a woman. When he saw her performance, he changed his mind. They created the Dying Stars band with Jeff Fabb, a drummer. Blake Bunzel on guitar and Josh Newell on bass joined the band in the following years. In This Moment changed their name after just two concerts.
