Nancy O'Dell's debut job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to state authorities re-issuing a more stringent directive regarding the instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. Then she joined Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. In addition, she serves as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
